Solar energy is a renewable abundant throughout the year in tropical weather country like Malaysia. This paper investigates viability of using solar PV systems as cost-saving measure to supply electricity for Taylor’s University (TU) daily usage. Experimental values were compared with theoretical and analyzed this paper. In experiment, four photovoltaic (PV) panels connected parallel linked maximum power point tracking (MPPT) charge controller acting voltage regulator. A lead-acid battery was also coupled that acts an storage store harvested from discharge it electricity. Temperature sensors Arduino UNO placed at different locations on monitor irregularities temperature panels. The amount produced calculated data obtained. results showed larger system will generate much more create high return investment (ROI) if absorbed sunlight under good conditions, thus bringing forward potential solution reduce TU’s consumption.
